If swimming and diving appeals to you, then the ‘Friendly Isle’ is for you. Its real name is Molokai, and it is relatively underdeveloped compared to the other Hawaiian islands. You should put this on your list of Hawaiian travel packages if you want a quiet peaceful vacation with lots of water to play in.

Then there is the island that many think is Hawaii - Oahu, ‘The Gathering Place’. It is well named because everybody seems to come here - it is, after all, the main island, containing Honolulu, Waikiki and Pearl Harbor. Even if you prefer the quiet of Lanai or Molokai, you have to take a trip here just to say you have been.

Lastly, the island of Kauai. This is known as the “Garden Island” because it is such a beautiful island - people who vacation here never want to leave. Mark Twain came here and named Waimea Canyon the ‘Grand Canyon of the Pacific’. The Napali Coast boasts 1,000 foot cliffs dropping straight down to the ocean, and beaches offering the best sun and surf you will find anywhere. Superlatives are unnecessary because every word you could use would be true about this magnificent island. Were you to include only one in your Hawaiian vacation package, it must be this - but then we could say that about any of these beautiful Hawaiian islands.
