The old way of buying shoes is fast disappearing – remember when you used to hop on a bus to go to the department stores. Once there a very young assistant would measure your feet with a strange looking device and then disappear in the back for 20 minutes only to arrive carrying 5 or six boxes of shoes you did not choose because they did not have your size in stock – remember all that?

Whatever your fetish, it can easily be found and purchased with just a couple of taps on the keyboard but are there any problems? Perceived or real?  Of course there are, so here are a couple of tips for you:

1.    Shipping: When comparing prices online don’t forget to include the shipping charges. Reducing the price of the product and having high shipping charges is an old ploy often used on EBAY to dupe the prospect into choosing their lower costing item.
2.    Returns: Check out their returns policy BEFORE you buy – you may get a shock – they differ widely.
3.    Delivery: How long will they take to deliver? You may need these shoes for a special occasion so do not just assume they will be shipped the next day – some suppliers source from the manufacturer so it could take weeks before they are delivered. Check that the item is actually in stock.
