Air Conditioning Systems

Tuesday 30 June 2009 @ 5:04 pm

In recent years user expectations of air conditioning systems have significantly changed. Not only do they expect zone heating and cooling, but also demand a range of services that optimise’s room comfort and reduces energy and maintenance costs, combined with maximised simplicity and operating flexibility. The system must be energy-efficient, versatile in installation and functionality, flexible in programming and use, reliable and easy to use. There are more and more requests for central and precise management of the system, permitting accurate and personalised calculation of the energy consumption.

VRF systems are the perfect answer to all these air conditioning requirements: and are increasingly used as an alternative to traditional water based heating and cooling systems. Variable refrigerant flow benefits from the advantages of direct expansion linked to inverter control and the most sophisticated electronic control. This technology has many advantages, from the system design to the installation and operation phase.

The right system for you?

There are many factors that will influence the decision on what system and products are right for you; from the size and use of the building to the degree of control you need over the climate.

Split-type air conditioning

With split-type air conditioning, the condenser unit that houses the motor, fan and other components, is mounted outside the building or the area being cooled, this ensures quiet operation for the indoor inverter unit. The units can be located up to 20 metres apart.

Split range starts with smaller units, these are ideal for smaller rooms and locations. For commercial applications the range extends up to larger more powerful models: the bigger the indoor unit, the bigger the external condensing unit required. Multi splits systems allow up to five indoor units to be connected to one outdoor unit.

With heat-pump technology, split systems can provide room heating as well as cooling, which is often an economical alternative to central heating systems.

Educational games and toys

Tuesday 30 June 2009 @ 3:47 pm

Playing and learning are so closely related that they often can’t be distinguished at all. In one way or another, most games are educational - even if it were only in educating the player up to a higher level of competition. That’s quite often overlooked, I believe… but it’s true: even your very own recreational game of tennis, on a sweet summer afternoon with a frefreshing drink witin hands reach, is an educational game!

But let’s be realistic: when talking about educational toys, more often than not we refer to learning objects for our children. Especially in the last decade or two, an enormous number of educational “tools” have been developed for children of all ages, and even for grown-ups. The latter may or may not be intentional, but a fact is that many of the more intricate educational or learning systems, like those dealing with science and nature, are enthusiasticaly enjoyed by the parents of the offspring for whom the gift was originaly intended!

This will not so soon happen with educational toys for very young children, like alphabet blocks or ABC blocks. And then there’s the enormous range of educational games/toys for all ages in-between! Looking back on my own youth in the 1940’s and 1950’s I am truly amazed by all the educational tools that are available now! On the other hand I believe that our childrens own creative development suffers from those pre-chewed and bite-sized chunks. I used to be very excited with the proverbial cigar box from my granddad, from which I created houses, factories and garages - the box that is, not my granddad.

So it’s all a matter of relativity, I reckon. Some values are lost, others are gained. But at least, to the considerable relief of often desperate parents, buying educational games and toys has become easier than it was ever before. Generally speaking, this is an improvement.

The Plus Points Of Multi Trip Insurance

Tuesday 30 June 2009 @ 2:01 pm

With multinational organizations everywhere expanding operations to the Asia region, international travel has increased dramatically. Even with the latest credit crunch, overseas travel is still at a high level. But today businesses are finding means to lower the cost of overseas travel. One of the ways of lowering traveling cost is by buying multi trip travel insurance.

multitrip travel insurance is not exclusively for industry jet setters but also for those who travel constantly. If you are an avid traveler who travels at least 3 weeks in a year than you should spend on multi trip travel insurance. It can save you money and even time since you do not have to purchase a new insurance policy every time you need to travel.

multi trip insurance is specially designed to give you peace of mind when you travel whether it is domestically or overseas. You can leave home without any worries with the knowledge that you are insured for any mishaps or unforeseen incidents that may crop up. The protection is continuous, meaning once it is taken out travelers can be assured that it will last the whole year regardless of where they go or how often.

multi trip insurance can be tailored specifically to your requirements. Basically, it would usually cover travel delays, travel cancellations, medical emergencies, loss or damage to personal effects and more. Most policies are set up on an annual term and will then insure you for an unlimited number of trips over that time for up to 90 days of travel. Therefore, if an unexpected trip comes up through the year you will be covered without any extra hassle. Many insurers also allow multitrip travel insurance to be bundled with family policies, so that family members who also travel regularly are also insured.

You will not have much trouble looking for travel insurance abroad as there are quite a few offers online providing discount travel insurance from quite a few insurance companies. These companies provide holiday travel insurance as well as corporate travel insurance. In addition, they also provide single trip travel policies and annual travel insurance. Spend a little bit time to shop around for the best policy you can get. You would not even have to look far to get a cheaper premium. All you need to do is check with your existing insurer to see if they provide this service. You could even get a better offer if you obtain your policies from the same insurer.

Keep in mind not to include excess coverage. Have a more in depth at the policy and read the clauses and feature list. Include coverage for the things you feel are essential. This step would help ensure you are able to maintain a low price.

Right Sharpener For Hunting Knife

Monday 29 June 2009 @ 3:30 pm

Every good hunter knows that when a knife starts to get dull, it makes working with that knife ten times as difficult. It’s important to be able to feel a change in the cutting pattern of your knife so you know when the blade is beginning to dull. With this ability, you’ll be able to quickly figure out when it is necessary to sharpen your blade.

With the right tools, you can do just that, but it takes more than going to the store and picking out the cheap sharpening tool. You’ll need some skill and ingenuity to figure out what is the best knife sharpener that would suit your hunting knife. Diamond, ceramic sharpener and arkansas stone are three main types of hunting knife sharpeners. Let’s take a look to see how each of these types can aid you in sharpening your hunting knife.

The most used type of sharpener among hunters is an Arkansas Stone sharpener. Knife sharpeners like these are easy to find, and what is best, they bring good results for centuries. You will see that there re different grades of this stone, because it has different degrees of roughness.

Using one grade over another will result in a differing sharpness of your blade. While many new-timers are looking to the newer sharpeners, many old school outdoors men consider Arkansas Stone sharpeners the best for their hunting knife.

In case you are aiming for something that’s durable and doesn’t weight much, then a ceramic sharpener is what you need. They are built out of a big block of wood with two ceramic rods that are set at the sides. Be aware that these knife sharpeners are very durable, but this is because they are used to finish off a blade of the hunting knife, instead of sharpening a blade that is very dull.

However, many ceramic sharpeners come pocket-sized and are great to carry around on an overnight trip in the wilderness, where your knife won’t get terribly dulled, but will still need a tune-up every now and then.

How to become a notary public

Monday 29 June 2009 @ 1:50 pm

A notary public is an official appointed position by the Secretary of State’s department in a given state. As with most public officials, the State requires that the person get a surety or notary bond before receiving their commission. This bond “makes sure” that when the official violates the public trust through neglect of their duties, funds are set aside to indemnify the State for its loss.

The primary duty of notaries public is to validate that the individual parties to an agreement are who they claim to be. The State may experience a loss if the notary public fails to properly validate the identity of the parties.

As a public official, the notary causes harm to the public trust by failing in their duty to confirm identity. If a Texas notary public doesn’t confirm identity and a loss occurs, an injured party can file a claim against that State for its loss, because the State was negligent through its appointed representative.

A surety bond is a guarantee of payment to the obligee (the State) when losses occur for a penalty amount of the bond. Surety bonds are often provided by a surety company (typically an insurance carrier). The bond usually runs concurrently with the period of the notary’s commission.

You may be familiar with a property insurance policy. When a person has an Indiana home insurance loss, the insurance carrier pays the loss and writes off the loss. You aren’t required to reimburse the carrier for the loss. Unlike a property insurance policy however, a notary bond is simply a guarantee that the funds will be available when losses occur. The surety (insurance company) pays the State up to the penalty amount of the bond. However, this claim paid by the carrier is not simply written off. The company will most likely seek reimbursement from the bonded person, the notary themself.

A notary bond protects the public. Who protects the notary? Insurance coverage is available to provide this protection - it’s called Notary Public Errors and Omissions and can also be obtained for a nominal fee from insurance companies.

Get Fit And Lose Fat With A Wii

Sunday 28 June 2009 @ 2:47 pm

My next door neighbour, Clare, is what you would call a ‘big’ girl. She loves her fast food, chocolates, biscuits, crisps ….in fact just about anything that adds the pounds and kilos to her weight. And to make matters worse, she hardly ever walks anywhere but prefers to drive instead.

So it’s not surprising that about 3 months ago, she felt that her weight was getting out of control and she needed to do something about it.

Did she take up jogging? Or go down to our local gym? Nope - she decided to buy a Wii console!

She claimed that because the Wii had some new-fangled controls that didn’t just involve pressing buttons like other games consoles, but that actually required you to put in some effort to play games, then she’d lose weight.

Needless to say, her husband and I were not convinced and thought that this was just another one of Clare’s mad ideas (that she does have a reputation for coming out with!).

With her Wii console, she also got something called a Wii Fit that looked like one of those step blocks used in gyms for step aerobics. Clare said that this connected to the Wii console and came with a Keep Fit game that had her doing various exercises every day.

The software also kept a record of her weight, body-mass index and improvements in her performance of doing the exercise schedules.

Clare stuck to her new “exercise regime” and I would often pop round for a chat in the afternoon and find her red-faced and breathless from having just completed on of her sessions.

And the result?

Well, in the past month, she’s lost an impressive 14lbs (6.4 kilos for those of you who’ve gone metric) and it’s very noticeable. We are all impressed (even though she does keep saying “I told you so”). You can find the Wii Fit for sale on eBay at bargain prices. I’m definitely going to get one to get fitter and in shape.

What are Food Dehydrators?

Sunday 28 June 2009 @ 1:17 pm

Having a small appliance that will save you time, money and give you great tasting food is what food dehydrators are all about.  When people home grow their own fruits and vegetables in the summer chances are they plan on canning, freezing and dehydrating what they can.  The reason many these days are choosing to grow a garden is to save money.  Having the products and items needed to freeze, can and dry will let consumers get the most out of their time, money and efforts from their home grown garden.  Also many people may choose to stock up and purchase some produce when they are in season to get them at the better rate and when that is the case a food dehydrator may be necessary.  Learn more about food dehydrators at http://www.food-dehydrator-pro.com

Many people may be familiar with the canning process but they many not be familiar with the drying process.  Drying foods in the sun has been done for centuries however now a days people need their foods dried quicker and they in a more contained space.  Knowing that a food dehydrator does exactly what the sun does but only in a quicker amount of time and in a confined space will help people understand when they need to purchase one of these products.  Those products that are normally canned such as beets and green beans can also be dried to be used in soups or other recipes.  Foods that are usually frozen such as corn or berries are other examples of foods that can be dried and rehydrated for recipes.

Drying fruits is what many people choose to do with their food dehydrators and the reason is because they make great snacks.  When people ask themselves what are food dehydrators they may not realize that they can make fruit leathers as well as beef jerky.  Dried apples, apricots and berries are all able to be dried as fruit leather with the help of a little yogurt and the right dehydrator tray.  Drying fruits to use in recipes or as snacks is another popular reason people choose to look into purchasing these small appliances.

With great ease in drying not only fruits and vegetables that can be used for snacks but also recipes consumers will enjoy the benefits of dried foods in a quicker amount of time.  These products are also capable of making the best tasting beef jerky in not only a quicker time but with a great flavor.  Many consumers may not have the knowledge they need to pick the food dehydrator that will best meet their needs however chances are if they are growing their own garden larger sizes may meet their food dehydrator needs the best.

What Tricks I Use To Potty Train My Dog

Saturday 27 June 2009 @ 8:22 pm

So why is my yorkie always so excited to use my pee pads? There are a few different reasons I will share with you. I strongly believe that when a dog does something right you must reward them. Whether it be a treat or love. When potty training my dog I always give here a treat after each use on the puppy pads. When I would leave the house for a few hours she would wait for me to get home. The reason??? She wanted that treat after I watched her go potty. Always remember to be consistent in your training.

Make sure when using housebreaking pads that you change them regularly. If they build up to much potty mess, the dog will want to go other places. My yorkie will wait for me to change them and immediately run over and potty on them right after. Then she patient waits for her reward. In the beginning make sure you regularly take your dog to there potty area.

Pee-pads.com is the best place to buy puppy pads. Buying in bulk can save you a lot of money. They offer 3 different sized pee pads to fit your potty area needs. The smallest size is 17”x24”. These come 300 per case with free shipping at a low cost of $54.99. These work great for dogs that weigh less than 8 pounds. Another popular size is the 23”x24” pee pads which come 200 per case. New are the Jumbo 23”x36” pee pads which come 150 per case. Please share with me any potty training tactics that work for you.
